“Bill Elliott is an exceptional Nova Scotian musician. He plays lead and rhythm guitar, fiddle, banjo and bass. Bill has been an Old Time Fiddle Champion in Manitoba, Ontario and in Nova Scotia. He’s a guitar picker extraordinaire, as sampled on the latest family work “Home Again – A Salute to Swing”.

Both of these excellent artists have been in the livingroom several times, and we’re always happy to have them back!

carleton stone

Carleton Stone

These two award-winning young musicians are on the rise. Carleton Stone’s latest album Draws Blood has the 28-year-old songwriter delivering his most personal artistic statement to date. An experienced and entertaining performer, Dylan Guthro wins over fans and industry with his catchy and sincere songs, his superb musicianship, and his impressive vocals.

Shades of Springsteen, John Mayer, Bruce Cockburn and Dave Matthews there may be –  but he stands in his own right, built on a reputation for giving what  thousands have described as the best live music experience of their  lives. Martyn’s ability to transcend preconceptions about how one man and a guitar can sound is testament to his talent and stage presence. He continues to tour extensively on both sides of the Atlantic, building up a constantly expanding and enthusiastic fan base. The shows are intelligently constructed, Martyn presenting his audience with challenging narratives and with an intensity that hits with the power of a right hook. He tempers this with songs that comfort and speak to the soul. His great improvisation and immediate topicality lead to an organic fluidity that makes every show different. His comfortable rapport and conversation with his audiences, his sense of humour and his ability to make everyone feel at home lie right at the heart of the evening’s success.

Not surprisingly, these shows sold out from the email list before I had time to post them on the website. 🙂
